Annual General Meeting

Business to be conducted:
1. To confirm the minutes of the last preceding annual general meeting – 5 September 2022
2. To receive and consider the President’s Report 2023
3. To receive and consider the Treasurer’s Report
4. To elect the officer Bearers of the Association and the ordinary committee members – Returning Officer.
We need new committee members, we meet for ~ 1 hour every 2 months, with nothing being too onerous but this is essential to keep TVU3A running. Here is a link to the Nomination Form. (Please return this Form to us by 4th September 2023). Thank you. We look forward to welcoming some new faces 
Fees for 2023 are only $30 for the whole year, $15 if joining after June 30th.
Semester Two begins July 31st, however some classes may continue during the break so check with your Tutor if unsure.
NEW Origami Classes – we have a tutor available to facilitate a class in the ancient art form of Origami. If there is enough interest from members, this class would be held on Tuesdays at 11 am at Deviot Hall. Please register your interest via text 0411 151 378 or by email.

Due to Covid-19, we have adapted where necessary to ensure social distancing is in practice and hand sanitiser at the ready. As is expected elsewhere in society, if you are feeling unwell, have any cold or flu symptoms, or are under isolation instructions/awaiting covid testing or results then you must remain at home and not attend U3A classes. We look forward to seeing you at class, but understand that some of our members may need to stay home to stay safe.

If you are new to the Tamar Valley or to U3A we hope to see you at a class soon. You will find our members and tutors are friendly, welcoming and glad to have your company.

Tamar Valley U3A provides a stimulating learning and social environment for those aged 50 yrs young or more in our community.
The object of the Association is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and learning among those in retirement or semi retirement and other mature interested people, within the Tamar Valley community.
Tutors and office bearers provide their service free. Our aim is to keep the costs as low as possible. The annual membership fee is $30 and entitles you to attend most classes without additional cost. However from time to time, a small additional cost may be incurred to cover costs of materials etc, depending on the course. Classes offered depend on the availability of volunteer tutors.
Volunteers for existing and new areas of interest are always welcome.
