Douglas Adams in the “HITCH HIKER’S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY”, claimed it all boiled down to 42, if you have a big enough computer.
What is beyond doubt is that we know a lot about the Universe and how it evolved. We also have a good understanding of how life, too, has evolved on our home planet.
But what were the CRITICAL steps between BANG!!! and a planet crawling with clever apes 14 billion years later? Was it inevitable?
Would it happen in the same way again, next time? Are we alone?
Lots of food for thought there. If you want to know more, this is the course for you. We will dip into cosmology, physics, chemistry, geology and biology to expand man’s place in the universe. How you relate that factual knowledge to your own philosophy is up to you.
THIS IS DEFINITELY THE SCIENCE FOR THE LAYMAN, WITH LOTS OF VIDEO CONTENT FROM THE LIKES OF DAVID ATTENBOROUGH AND BRIAN COX, AND LOTS OF OPPORTUNITY FOR QUESTIONS, DISCUSSION AND A FEW JOKES ALSO.
